Went watch shopping
So I was walking around Newbury St. in Boston yesterday and happen to come across an awesome little watch shop called European Watch Company. I walked in and immediately something caught my eye.
It was used but completely unworn (still had the little plastic pieces all over it and not a sign of ever even being tried on, let alone worn) Tudor Fastrider Black Shield. I traded in my Oris Air Racing edition III and got a good amount towards the Tudor. It is an awesome watch and European Watch Company is by far the best watch/jewelry store I have ever been to. All the employees I dealt with were extremely knowledgeable about all the watches they carried (and many they didnt carry) but they didn't make you feel dumb for not knowing as much. If anyone is ever on Newbury St. definitely check out this shop!

Here are the material specs: "The Fastrider Black Shield measures 42mm wide and its case (including bezel) is made from nearly scratch-proof injected ceramic. The case is a monobloc, meaning it is made from a single piece and not a series of pieces mounted to a sub-frame, this allows for the entire case structure to be fashioned in ceramic" "The crown and chronograph pushers are done in steel with a black PVD treatment. " The caseback is steel

I remember that Tag from the 90's... Around 1995, I bought a GMT Master while in 2nd year college. Probably the youngest one and first one in the family to ever have a rolex. Still have it till this day and still looks as good as it was 20 years ago.
Purchased this late last year..... Watches will always be a better investment than cars... I could sell my GMT for twice as much as I purchased it 20 years ago. [/QUOTE] |
