about to pull trigger on MDX
hey guys, I am about to pull trigger on 2016 MDX AWD with Tech package.
the MSRP is $50,210.00 the offer I received was $44,910 with destination fee included. tax is $1883 processing + license + others is $738 which comes out to be ~$47500.00 is this good deal? should I pull the trigger? Will be buying in about 5 hours. Feedbacks appreciated! thanks |

No idea as local prices vary but you r taxes appear incredibly low. On another note, if you need a vehicle this size, IMHO, a decent mini-van does literally everything better except appeal to the jonses.

Is that MSRP including dealer options ?
Edmunds MSRP for that car is 49,200 I believe. Why in such a rush ? Offer another dealer 45,000 OTD and see what happens, they probably have 40 of these on the lot |

Take this deal to another dealer and tell them to beat it. I shaved $100 from the payment on my CC just pitting two dealers against one another. I finally drew a line in the sand and said "first one to get my lease payment below $300 gets the sale". Both told me it was impossible but eventually they both capitulated. Ended up going with the closer dealership for convenience.

Too many good vehicles on the market for this price or cheaper for me to consider an MDX. Don't want to kick you in the junk about the choice to much, sorry.
Pick two... Have it now Have it cheap Have the one you want |

MDX is very nice, deal is good
I'd take MDX over most other SUV's, really like Honda Acura. Friend with same car just replied deal is very good. He bough his end of winter when 2016 MDX just came out. Here's his quote Sounds very good.. We paid 50k .. Hardly any discount .. They discounted the accessory ... Sounds like they exact same car Last edited by overcoil; 06-30-2015 at 05:03 PM.. |

Get a Honda Pilot before the model change happens. A friend of mine bought a Touring for 35k, I believe the MSRP was 44k.
Check resale. I was hosed on my Acura TL, Acura as a brand isn't what it was 5 years ago.

Audi Q and the GLE with the same options as a MDX Tech are about $10,000-$13,000 more. RX is a RDX competitor (much smaller then the MDX). QX starts at $15,000 more and is nearly the size of an Escalade (waaay larger then a MDX). XC is not bad, sorta like a MDX with worse reliability.

GLE looks ass, old mans car RX is a half size smaller than MDX, no 3rd row. Infiniti looks like a bashed crab Volvo a full size smaller than MDX. Closest is likely the Q7 but yeah, expensive. |

The Honda Pilot could be the most un-stylish SUV currently on the market. I would never cross-shop that and the MDX.
OP - Get the MDX but tell them you found one at another dealer for a better price. If they gave you that offer without any haggling, they'll DEFINITELY go lower.

My wife is on her 4th MDX. Really good vehicle, really impressive MPG for something its size. Besides the controls not being the simplest, the seats could be firmer.
