Its been a bizarre two days at the 'Ring...

First, yesterday Dale Lomas from Bridge to Gantry(fame) spotted a metal object on one of the track's curbs. A mechanic's wrench(!) strategically placed where someone running tourists laps of the 'Ring would certainly have run over a curb and blow out his tire(& crashed?)! There are some sick people out there! Luckily... Dale saw it in time and reported it to the Ring's e-safety response crew.

Do you see it?

Today... a frustrated farmer(probably) fed up with the all the traffic around the 'Ring - crashed the toll/gate plaza and tried to enter the track! Luckily the Ring staff dealt with him until the Polizei came.

Jeeze, I'm going to go ahead and believe the wrench fell out of someone's car (after being lost and the temporarily stuck in the floor pan). If that's not the case, I hope whoever placed it there has an unfortunate incident with a nailgun.

It was stuck into the earth pretty well. I think someone put it there. Also... rumor has it that this "farmer" had stolen the tractor... that's why he did not get too far once he crashed thru the gate/toll area.
