A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

So how does a Hellcat do on a road course? About as good as a SRT8 Challenger/Charger. The Hellcat is a straight line car which I'm sure this Saleen will be too but can take the turns better because its weight is a tad more appropriate than the Hellcat.
Still don't get this whole 275 rear tire thing with cars pushing over 700 horses..... |

Not sure about the quality of Saleen's recent offerings, but their financials are sure sucking wind:
cash - $95 thousand current assets - $673 thousand current liabilities - $7 million quarterly revenues - $536 thousand quarterly net loss - $2.44 million Doesn't exactly look like the balance sheet of a successful car manufacturing company. |
