Perhaps, but it has one of the best sounding engines in the world.

Neither am I. In every drag race we have seen, the P85D always gets the jump, even against supercars. The RS7 launches quick, but no ICE can match the instantaneous torque of electric motors.

It's an impressive car but the fanboys get out of hand. People comparing it to the GTR and even some proper super cars (and that hellcat video where the Challenger just does a massive burnout and people then claiming the Tesla is faster, I mean come on), it's just a bit absurd. But I think it's because it attracts a lot of people who aren't car people, so you're going to get those kinds of absurd comparisons. I think it's a great car, but as many owners have reported it is far from perfect and no where near the "second coming of Jesus" hype surrounding it.

I only compare to other 100% electric cars, nothing else and in that sense of mind, Tesla is destroying the electric car competition. |

I'd like to see how fast the Tesla is after 20 launches compared to any other car.
It can't even finish a lap on the N-Ring. If no German or Japanese build anything like the Tesla it is because they know it is crap and doesn't work with today's tech. But rich people buy crap at the expense of the tax payer. |

And a Tesla isn't mean to set the worlds fastest time on a track or road course. Its just an electric car that is able to go further than any other electric car ever could dream of going at this time.
They didn't set out to make an 100% electric luxury sports car to beat up Porsche's or Lambo's or Vettes at the track/road course but to show what the future of electric cars will and can do. Going further on a single charge while letting people charge for free at charging stations and have some nice creature comforts. |

"If no German or Japanese build anything like the Tesla it is because they know it is crap and doesn't work with today's tech" was hypocritical and clearly European and Japanese manufacturers have and will invest in this so called "crap" battery tech or at least hybridize their vehicles with them. I just don't understand your specific aggravation with Tesla or what exactly makes them "shit"

If I could afford a Tesla as a second car, I'd buy one in a second. You have to be honest here, what is not to love about the car? I am faaaaaar from a fan of Musk and what that company has had to do so far to survive, but it's impossible for you to honestly not marvel at the tech.
It's a gorgeous car, with incredible acceleration and I've yet to read a bad review about one. The more I read about it and hear from owners, the more I'd like to own one. I doubt that day will ever come, but I do appreciate the car itself. |
