For those who like soccer...
So as the title says...for those soccer lovers... who do you guys think is gonna be #1 this world cup? I have my pride for Argentina and Korea ... I was raised as an Argentinian and lived all my life there, but my parents are Korean... I do still carry my korean pride!... But as of now... I don't thik Korea is gonna do that good this year they're prolly gonna get beat in their first game which it was agaisnt a good soccer country =P I forgot which country it was... and as of Argentina they'll do way better than last year for sure!... I think Common country as usual world cups are going to be on the finals such as... brazil, france, england, holland, italy, argentina, and all. So what's on you guys mind?

I was living in Korea during the last World Cup.. Ooooh pilsung Korea (not sure if I got the spelling right, but hopefully you know what I mean) and 'Be the Reds' (I still have one of those t-shirts somewhere). Those weeks were absolutely fantastic and I can't wait for the 2006 World Cup in 6 months time!
I have no money on who will win, although of course Germany has the advantage of being on home ground. Let's hope France manages to score at least one goal this time around (no offense to any of our French members). That said, I really hope Australia does well (30-some years since their last appearance). I've already booked tickets for the Australia-Croatia match here in Stuttgart and having lived in Aus for a while, I really want them to do well (although they're in a pretty tough group with Japan and Brazil). And I know this is a bit cliché, but may the best team win.

Everyone had such high hopes for France but I watched them at Incheon Stadium get sent home in the first round by Denmark 2-0.

Ha ha. I'm from all over really. But at the moment I'm pretending to be German (and so far it's going OK).
EDIT: I've been following world cups for as long as I can remember.

I think the English have a great chance. They have great players their coach Sven has been with the team for 5 successful years. Brazil also looks promising. Their coaching staff is having trouble on who to take to the world cup. They have so many great players all over Europe and South America is unbelievable.
