the interior and the technology features, especially, are very impressive. caddy really pulled this one off on the new CTS.

wasn't the previous CTS-V starting in the 50-ties? i'm pretty sure this one will be about the same.

And if I remember correctly, the last CTS-V was just a corvette engine upgrade. Over here in the middle east, we already use to get the LS1 in a Lumina SS(upcoming G8 in USA,commodre ss in Australia).....So i guess, the last cts-v didn't need much testing because the engine was already tested out on other sedans or so(Caprice SS too, I dunno the australian name). Anyway, I will be really surprised if it's around 55 or 65k.....I would definitely try to get one then...550hp ain't no joke! |

The interior is gorgeous. The exterior...not so much. I think the standard CTS looks better with the Audi-styled grille.

you know the engine is the new "blue devil" z06 engine right? its just detuned.... but thatll be easyily fixed.. but yes givin it prob wont compete that much with the z06 it still is a big 4 door saloon so it wont be like crazy as the z06 but dont be suprised if its very very close....

I just drove the regular 3.6 and don't know why it got car of the year. I'm no brand-snob as I still own and cherish a 95 Impala SS, but I felt the interior looked nice but felt especially cheap, and the drive was neither sporty nor particularly engaging. The V will definitely raise my interest as a sort of sleeper-fast car with a boat load of fun power. But I still think the interior is a let down and should be better if it's a caddy - leave the no nonsense interior to the next RWD Impala SS

Its a 4200 LB pig! Way to heavy! When these cars get heavy no matter what horsepower you have the law of physics just kill you in the agility department.

550hp and 550 tq should do more than give them a run for their money. It should dominate them in straights. It should be very competitive to the M5 in the straights. And lets not even talk about the aftermarket potential for this car. |

It's not going to be more than the Z06's $70k price range. The Z06 is a lot more limited model and the fact that the $70k STS-V did'nt do well, they're definitely not going to try to do the same thing with the CTS-V. My guess will be $55k MSRP base price. They have to be more competitive with the price against C63, e90 M3, and the IS-F.
