Lexus CT 200h Premium

Has anyone had any experience with the Lexus CT 200h Premium? I am looking at getting for my wife. The MPG are 40+ on the HWY which is what we are looking for. Any other suggestions are welcome.

I like the idea, but it's 11+ seconds to 60, which is just way too long.

With a turbo it would be faster, but it would not get 40 MPG.

Just got my mother one of these. She likes it. Ride is very comfortable but tight so it's not bouncy. Interior is easy to navigate, leatherette is fairly good I thought. It's quiet, sound system is neutral, and there is a good amount of space in the back once you fold the seats down. Plus the hatch is flush so loading is easy. It's essentially a Prius drivetrain with a different suspension, body and nice interior. Visibility is phenomenal thanks to the bus-style wing mirrors and rear corner windows.

I'd advise getting it without their navigation/infotainment system, I thought it was terrible when I used it.

I drove one for a few days. Drives pretty well for a hybrid. The interior is very comfortable also. I really liked it.

Test drove one this weekend and really liked it. The accelearation was slow so you definately have to be cautious entering traffic (probably not as bad as it seemed I drive MT and find AT slow in general). I did not know there were three driving modes; Econ, Normal, and Sport. Sport is good for traffic situations when you need to accelerate or passing on the hwy when you need a higher shift point. The interiour is really nice also. I am pretty much sold.

I drove one for about 3 days (it was over the weekend), well over 150 miles, when my Lexus (a GS Fsport) was being serviced. I was literally counting the hours to get rid of the CT... I felt that I was forced to drive like a grandma... I felt the seats/space was a little too small... otherwise the car was not bad... I mean the interior is nice for a car in that price range, audio was fairly good, and internal noise was alright (better than 3 series, but way worse than GS of course).

Regardless, I would never buy a CT or Prius... The car just was way too slow... If that doesn't matter at all, and you want a fairly nice car to run many many miles, with low gas cost, then I guess this works.

I mean, to never say never, if I am (hopefully not me, but wife, however she also hates slow cars) ever in a situation that I need to drive like 25k miles per year basically haulling groceries and kids, this may be an ecnomically sensible choice.

I also drove a Lexus RX for a couple days during another service session. I liked it MUCH MUCH more than CT and can definitely live with that. It has more space and also can run many many miles, tho of course at lower mileage, and higher cost. Would you consider that?

Or better, the new NX, with 2.0t engine, thus more power and pretty good mileage (for a SUV kind of car)?? It should be a little cheaper than RX right?
