Are you into the paranormal?
So I'm curious how many people believe in the after life and spirits. Don't bring God and the almighty into this. I am talking about a world after our own, that some don't pass through. I am a firm believer, and I used to go out and seek this kind of shit, because it's creepy as fuck, and I think it's a part of reality that a lot of people try to ignore. Give me your opinions, fuckers. Here's my favorite personal story from my searches (In drunk banter);
So look, true story right. Listen. Right here. Trow (sp?) bridge back in South East MI. Cult jumped off in front of a train right. So we go, park, don't see shit. Go down to the train tracks and I thought I saw something. Fuckin shit you're right I did. Two bums. Started yelling at us right. So we go up the hill, about a 30° angle fuckin hill right. Walking up and I felt a hand on my shoulder, but I was in back. Thought it was the bum. Bums can't run up hills, its a proven fuckin fact. Alcohol fucks up their joints and shit. So I'm freaked because I felt a hand on my shoulder, so I run up the fuckin hill right. We get to the top and get back in the car, and I had three long scratch marks up my forearm. So we all freak out and head back to my buddies house, and when we get there the marks were gone.... true fuckin story mates. Found a link so pardon my edit; Also it wasn't a cult, just depressed kids I guess; http://www.strangeusa.com/Viewlocation.aspx?id=5136 |

Sure, I believe in spirits and the fact that there is either a heaven or hell after this.
In terms of those paranormal shows where they look for ghosts and that...less so. I think spirits exist and its a reality, but I'm not convinced that one can see them / be touched? Out of curiosity...and partly because I know you are drunk and want to get the unfiltered answer...if the question is do we believe in spirits and an afterlife...how can one not bring God into this? |

One can not bring Him into this, because I don't think we are aloud to talk religion in OT without getting banned. I think it's voodoo like guns and shit. So this is strictly paranormal. I wish we had camera phones back then, however, all I had was a blue backlit flip phone so I didn't get a picture because the marks were gone by the time we made it home to take the picture. If you were here in NC, i'd enjoy taking you out ghost hunting to try and change your mind. |

Let's pump the brakes with the F word when talking about religion.

After my first wife moved out, I slept in the bedroom we never used. After a few times I would wake up with something slightly larger than a cat sitting on my chest, staring at me. My cat refused to sleep with me in that room. Did some searching and found out a person died in that room.

Firm believer.. Recent experiences in my house include but are not limited to;
Just last week. My sister came over and stayed the night. I had set my black iPhone down and forgot where I put it. I looked around the living room/kitchen area. My sister was sitting on couch watching tv. The EXACT MOMENT I said "Hey Kim, have you seen my phone?" my iphone display screen lit up and I saw the glow from the display across the room on the stero that I had set it on an hour prior. We both looked at each like "weird" I walked over to my phone, picked it up, looked at it. No phone call, no email, no text. So why it lit up? Must have been a friendly ghost helping me out. Second. I sleep upstairs, alone with my infant daughter of 3 months. Her nursery is the room next to my master bedroom. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs plus an open loft. There is a bedroom at the complete opposite end of the hallway from my daughters room and my room. I get up in the night to give her a bottle. I use a microwave upstairs that I put on a bookshelf in the hallway to heat up her bottles. Several times I've gotten up I've noticed the light glowing underneath the door to the empty bedroom at the end of the hallway. Walk to the bedroom, open the door and the ceiling fan light is on. Turn it off, close the door, and I go back to bed after my daughter falls back asleep. Happens more than once. No one goes in that room. I'm the only one upstairs and my daughter cant even crawl yet. Explain that one to me |

Third. Office downstairs has a little tv in it. Twice in the past month I've went downstairs in the early hours of the morning and the tv is turned on. I hardly go in the office and I watch tv in the living room only downstairs so I know I didnt turn it on and I'm the only one home besides my infant child and three dogs.
It's not a "bad ghost" just a friendly or lonely ghost. It doesnt bother me, except run my energy bill up lol and its helped me find my phone once so whatever it is can stay in my house as long as its nice. I think it may be my Grandmother. I was extremely close to her. Lived with her for years. She died in 2012. She loved to drink tea so we had her cremated and each child and grandchild of hers got some of her ashes put into her multiple beautiful tea pots she collected. The teapot I have with her remains inside are in my daughters nursery on a beautifully decorated shelf. I like to think that my grandma is in there with her, watching over both of us. I really hope it is her spirit in my house and if it is, she can absolutely keep sending me little signals that she's still with us. Last edited by Sara; 10-15-2014 at 12:28 PM.. |

When I was 13 years old, me and my 17 year old brother were sleeping in the basement. At around 3:00am my brother wakes me up and says “look its grandpa”. When I opened my eyes my grandfather who passed away 5 years ago was sitting in a chair. It looked like he was trying to rock himself but it wasn’t a rocking chair, so it appeared that he was getting frustrated because it wasn't rocking Lol. We weren’t nervous at all, just very confused. Of course we told our parents who thought we were nuts. That was 30 years ago. A memory only me and my brother have.

I don't believe in that shit but I know it exists. Never happened to me but I've had weird shit happen to me before but I just brush it off as if it were my mind playing tricks on me. But I'm asian so I've heard many ghost stories.

Is it going to get scarier as your daughter grows she can do more stuff - not giving your ghosts any ideas, but like magically transport her out of the crib, hold her so she can 'walk' before she starts crawling.. etc. lol

If that ghost can change her diaper then heck yes! I'm all for it! But no, seriously what kinda scares me is I've heard children can see things adults do not see. Like "imaginary friends" that are real ghosts and such things like that. That's the only thing that kinda has me concerned. I dont want anything to hurt my child, let alone something I cant see. If it even is a ghost at all and not an electrical problem in the house. I have no problem with imaginary friends or nice things but if a ghost ever says "hurt mommy" then we have a problem. I dont plan on living in that house for more than a couple more years though.

OH!!!!!! I have a good one that I completely forgot about. Last weekend. Charles (neighbor) was over doing some yard work and helping hang up halloween decorations on the front yard trees. He went inside to use the downstairs hallway restroom. I was out front doing yard work (pulling weeds and picking up sticks and putting them in a garbage bag) He comes back out the front door, walks right by me to go back up the ladder to hang another decoration for me and said to me "I thought you were in the kitchen." I didnt think anything of it until just now. I wonder if he saw "someone"

I've seen "entities" of sorts on a few occasions, most notably when we were in an old cemetery tucked away in the back of some woods. I couldn't really make out what it was, but it appeared to be a tall man leaning against a headstone, but when we walked back there to look, the figure was gone. It immediately got colder by almost 15 deg for about 5 minutes, and then it felt normal again.
