Is this different than the Koenigsegg Quant that was unveiled a few years back?

Yes. That one was solar powered, this one is salt water powered. But overall the same concept. The thing is that today breakthrough innovations are very difficult to achieve, even if they can work. What is the near future of mobility? IC, HEV, PEV PHEV, BEV/FEV, FCEV or any other? Any change brings loss, except to starters that are small (think Tesla), thus change is resisted.
