Porsche 918 vs Laferrari vs Mclaren P1

Which one would you go for?

I know that the Laferrari has been receiving lots of hate from the interwebz arm-chair experts and if you want to save polar bears and icecaps then by all means go for the 918 or the P1.

But there's seriously nothing better than a NA Ferrari V12 revving to 9250RPM.

Plus it looks better than that godawful p1.

The Ferrari, every time, always. That engine note, pure bliss.

P1 all day long.

Not sure what question Levi was answering...

I think Levi was addressing the age old question of which car had the greatest engine attached to the worst transmission.

The appearance of the Porsche is so bland and understated in comparison to this crowd that I think time will forget it in much the same way that the 959 is often forgotten and the F1 and F40 are legendary.

The Ferrari gets my Monopoly money but I do think the Porsche is better looking. LaFerrari looks too much like an insect, I think it's the side mirrors

The LaFerrari for me.
The NA V12 sound,
the fact that you're actually sitting on the monocoque and the steering wheel and pedals come to you,
no hybrid mode - full out performance.

I think you'll become more one with the car in the LaFerrari. Based on the reviews, it seems like the LaFerrari is as manic fast as the P1 on track, but easier to exploit like the 918. A balance of the two other cars, while being its own pure driving experience.

IMHO: the 918 is fantastic, but maybe a bit too complicated. I read an article when Randy Pobst drove it at Laguna Seca and he had to be coached on how to get the most performance out of the car.
The P1 is utterly bonkers and may be the best in the hands of a professional, but for us mere mortals, we may not get the most out of it that is there to be had.

We are living in STELLAR times!

But you can't deny that it's a thing of beauty! Sure the Ferrari and the P1 might look more "edgy" but Porsche is just clean and pretty.

Having said that, I'd still take the laferrari. I'm in love with that engine.

It's a beautiful car but it just doesn't look the part. A hyper car should have hyper looks.

A Veyron looks like a clenched fist driving down the street. A Pagani looks like an alien mother ship forgot their landing module. A Porsche looks like a Porsche.

918, laferrari, p1. I agree the Porsche is a bit understated compared to the other 2 but in a way I prefer that (even for a hyper car). I am guessing the upkeep on the 918 will also be better (more affordable and reasonable) than the ferrari. Mind you, those that buy such cars probably don't fret over yearly maintenance costs. Tis the dream.

Of those three? Ferrari is out. Seriously? THE Ferrari for the name? Ridiculous. There will be a better one. Also, it looks like a lukewarm turd.

P1 looks nice and has the figures.

But the Porsche wins me. What a car, and looks the part too IMO.
