Overall I like it, pretty badass. I just cant get over the amount of overhang that is past the wheels in the front and rear of the car. You could crash 2 cars into that amount of overhang before you got to the actual car itself.

imo, bmw is more about the masses and fuel consumption than motor sport these days. the days of car enthusiasts and the love affair with bmw is nearing the end. most people will buy bmw's for fuel, cost, nostalgia and misinformation (thinking they're still something they're not). they will likely do well with this too because most people are lemmings and do not no any better.
oddly enough, i still can't help but like bmw's. i think it's because i've always lusted after them so perhaps i fall into the nostalgia category.

Looks like two different version being tested. The last car shown (black roof) looks different and less aggressive. Might sound less aggressive too?
Also, looks like a camo'd Cadillac (ATS-V ?) right behind it in the first shot. |

Both the CTS-V and ATS-V were out there at the same time as the GTxxx. I think that was a CTS but its pretty cool to see them all together.

Well holy shit, listen to the specific model that makes its pass around 00:48-00:54. It sounds so unique and crisp. Possibly the rumored flatplane crank V8? Makes the following test mule in the vid sound completely vanilla.

I like how you can hear the "normal" V8 before it even passes the camera.

Looks great! I won't be able to afford a new one unfortunately so my hope is that this car brings down the price of the 2013 Mustang Shelby as I'd love to get one of them!

Your guess is as good as mine and I've been trying to guess the same thing. It's not your typical clean upshift - a bit of a delay and then a slam into the next gear. That following throttle blip and downshift was on point too.
It could honestly be a good ol' three pedal, or maybe it's another DCT/AT magicbox that's ever so popular these days. All I know is that I'd be heel-toeing a stupid amount if I had that car.
