Anything to do around San Jose???

man im sooo bored. I've been doing the same things everyday: go eat with friends, movies, pool, sometimes just hang out and drink or talk, and of course lurking around on E90post. I wanna go on roadtrips but we're all broke. Anyone have anything fun to do???

OMG YES!

-shopping! we have so many malls! valley fair, oakridge, great mall, SANTANA ROW, gilroy outlets, stanford, etc

-bowling

-clubs in downtown GLO? or how about the FORUM in sunnyvale

-golfing -- theres a golf course near my house @ the silver creek country club or you can play miniature golf!

-go cruisin - a lot of people cruise on capital expressway at night -- and that's also near Yerba Buena road which is great for driving late at night cause its open and up in the hills so you can overlook the city

or you can go north to lakes if you like water sports! my friends and i spend our summers on lake shasta and lake berryessa.. or try san antonio lake fun times

shopping- lol I dont do that

I bowl from time to time. It's pretty fun. Cruising sounds fun though. I usually go up in the mountains withs open roads and just drive around there. I might just check out those lakes some time during the summer. Cool cool. Thanks ^^

dude, if you like driving in the mountains.. go driving in the Evergreen Hills. I love right tehre and sometimes my guy friends like to come and drive way yup into the hills because the lanes are narrow and curvy. Quimby Road and Capital Expressway intersect.. if you go straight up quimby towards the hills.. you will eventually pass all teh houses after liek 5 miles and head into the curvy parts of the hill where it's harder to drive -- but fun if you like the challenge. you should definitely try it sometime

this reminds me of the Piedmont mountains. The roads are very narrow and curvy. I had a spare on my 87 325i and drifted up there. After a few drifts my freaking car gave in. It couldnt handle it and i ended up in a little gutter. Two tires went flat lol. We had to walk half way down the mountains to get signals on our cells. Good thing I had some friends with me...You ever been to the Los Gatos mts?? There's a highway up there. Nobody goes there at night so it's basically open lanes. The roads are pretty wide and no hairpin turns so it's great to just cruise...you know anywhere else like that?

yeah.. evergreen hills. evergeen is a big area.. like if u head towards the mountains... theres roads like that. like u can drive up the hill and makea turn and cruise parallel to teh hills instead of actually going into teh hills.

besides frmo that.. i dont really know anywhere else. most of san jose has huge buildings around it and u cant really go cruising ;x so sad. dont you lived in like middle of no where, montana? you could cruise everywhere.

I live on the border of Milpitas and San Jose (greatmall). I cant really speed around there cus there are cops EVERYWHERE. I can speed in the mts cus nobody is there and I dont have to worry about crashing into anyone. Im gonna go check out Evergreen Hills tomorrow night.

haha yeah I had 2 friends in the car. Man seriously though Im not trying to justify anything or even saying that Im hella good at drifting. But one of the tires went flat so i ended in a gutter and that gave it another flat. haha oh well. It was supposed to be a beater car. Oh well...

that's the damn truth.

It's only tolerable with a DPT parking permit. Currently I'm paying for a garage. Near my apt.

If you know good cheap garage locations throughout the city it's managable.

I hate driving around Union Square....tooo crazy.

I went upto Marin County last night for new years and took 880 most of the way and that's a pretty good drive at night. ACtually.. i think anyyything is a good drive in the middle of the night when nobody's on the freeway.
