It looks like a grown up 2 series which is not a good thing.

Great car all around!!
Looks a bit similar to the 2 Series GC at the front. Some might consider the 2 Series GC now

Hmm, I must say, there is a lot I like about it tech wise! And as I was thinking,...I knew the M Performance version would be the model to want from a 'Styling' standpoint! Lets face it folks,...BMW is bringing about change to its model line-up,...and like it,...hate it,...or luv it! It's here to stay!

Now, given my memory of the test drive had in the i4 M50,...and given the more the 100+ more Hp,...this thing is going to feel quite fast from the start! That 100% Torque it off "0" is going to surprise a lot of passengers,...as the drivers takes off from a traffic light! Oh! ...and it's bigger than the previous generation! So, there we have it.

Lastly, I will just say,...at least it still looks like a BMW!

Edit: So, to show the world what was coming from BMW in terms of a pure BEV,...BMW gave the i4 M50 spine-bracing power! Naturally, they needed to keep the range down to ensure those that leaped to the i4 series would look to invest in the 2nd Gen i4,...which will be built on an i4 dedicated chassis,...therefore, being a lot more efficient, etc. I'm thinking some 4-8 years from now,...all BMW BEVs will have a range greater than 300 miles,...and some hitting up to 400 miles! I say this because other manufacturers aren't standing still in the new age of BEVs coming to market,...therefore, BMW too will need to engineer higher range BEVs! ...it's as simple as that!!

I was low level thinking if worth it I would replace my 22 540 with the G60 equivalent but not with this look. 28 LCI at the earliest now lol. Probably grab a good used spec M550 in a year or two to fill the gap.

Supersized 2GC up front, Honda Accord rear, and a glossy black plastic interior. Who wouldn't love that?

Great decision, because that design is horrendous smh. 23 is way better looking! I’m so happy I ordered an X3M Competition before they even touch it lol

Kind of bland and almost ugly at some angles. Not enough range for a 5 series. Oh well.

I like it a lot, it looks like BMW took a lot of design elements from the E60 which is a very, very good thing. Looking forward to seeing one in person.

Pretty much the perfect sedan.
It looks like it's 10 years ahead of G30.

I think Honda did pretty good job re-designing its 40k dollar Accord model... wait, this is not Accord...

Seriously though, front looks ok, but the rear is terrible.
At least, interior looks decent.

Nice job redesigning the interior aside from the lack of shifter, but definitely going to buy out my '21 M550 lease after seeing this. Sorry, but the design direction BMW has followed doesn't set the brand apart from the rest of the field.

Just when you thought that the new 7 or XM was the pinnacle of BMW hideous design, the latest 5er definitely takes the cake.

Not only are the small details tacky and ugly but now the general proportions are that of a FWD car that can pass for a Hyundai.

I’m sorry but this is just purely bad design.

Look at the Audi Etron GT for proper EV styling that is futuristic, sporty and elegant.

Looks like their goals and priorities are reversed now. They are trying to make good mobile tablets and attaching wheels and engine with that. Without kidney grill and logo it just looks like an Avalon.
