Disappointed. Range is not great. It wouldn’t cope with the longest journey that I do and that’s in ideal conditions. Add in a cold day, traffic….
Absolutely no remorse with my new g30 m550 I now know for sure I made the right call. Styling not for me, interior dash / controls not for me, lots of gimmicky stuff in there Be interesting to see the reviews when they come in. |

Got a new X5 as a rental car the other day and it has the same gear selector. It’s fine and takes no effort to get used to. Even in a high performance car, with paddles why would you ever use a stick in the middle while driving? It’s actually nice as it frees up space and removes a superfluous item from the cabin.

I had F10 M5 when BMW announced G30/F90, and I loved it, new style, it was real progress over F10, however this new i5’s one of the ugliest 5 series ever made.
Even interior, speaker grills looks loke they don’t belonng there, center console as well looks just bland like any other car these days, no uniqueness |

"In fact, the amount of space available for the passengers in the electric 5 Series is identical to that available in the internal combustion variants."
If I'm going to deal with some of the EV tradeoffs like road-trip charging, I want more interior space, not the same. |

Digging the interior!
The exterior is a no for me dog. Like, a hard no.

I really despise the black plastic along the bottom of the car. It looks bad on the 7er and bad here, although unlike the 7er, the luxury line still has it, which pairs terribly with light colors.
These days I find F10’s catcthing my eyes, they’re just very classy and have aged gracefully, even if they did drive poorly.

Design actually looks quite nice especially compared to some of the awful ones BMW has been releasing the last few years. Also nice to see a better integrated screen in the dash with the idrive knob still being available.I was worried that they were going to discontinue it after the new X1 was released without it.The info only lists the 540i being released with x drive.Does that mean there won’t be a RWD 540i for any countries?

Uhhhh if you take the BMW grille off and put an MB logo there it is 1000% an MB.
Sad state of affairs for BMW design.

Did i see the drive shaft tunnel in the back??
Its so stupid for a EV car have a drive shaft tunnel in the back and huge hood without any frunk. As long as bmw uses same platform for EV and non EV, it’s not going to catch up with tesla. |

I feel like these new DRL's...are just cheaper. Less intricate and way less "BMW".
