Given that my dealer was told by BMW corporate the fix was deploying today, stands to reason we would not start seeing any of these close until today at the earliest.

He said they do the ordered/sold cars first.

Just got confirmed by the dealer that the fix (at least for European/France markets) hasn't been released today for i5 edrive 40. Still hoping this gets released some days next week.

Good news from my dealer

“ Hey sir! So you’re 5 series is off of stop sale. The software was released and it is being pulled into the shop to be reprogrammed now. We can most likely schedule pick up for tomorrow but I will let you know for sure shortly”

Just got a text from my sales rep. Stop sale should stop on Monday or Tuesday for my build. Software has been released.

Supposed to pick up my i5 m60 last Tuesday and got this stop sale notice as well. Sooooo freaking frustrating. Also heard that it's about the audio receiver. Called around and am hearing that there is a fix, but no promises before end of year. I feel like a sad schoolgirl sitting by the phone.

My So Cal dealer indicated BMW released the software update yesterday and is flashing my car today.

And, as of this morning, mine is at the dealer. So, looking good for Wednesday delivery. Perhaps my son and I will head over today to see if we can spy it on the lot.

We've got one that survived the stop sale, was updated Friday and arrived at the dealer yesterday. My son and I found it on the lot today and he approves!

The car I was looking at was affected by the stop sale throughout all last week. Because of the info in this thread, I was able to help the dealer realize the fix was available, so they installed it and I bought the car today!

Oxide grey M60 with Driver’s Assistance Pro, Premium Package, and M Sport Pro in addition to Sky Lounge roof. It has everything that a car with the Executive Package car would have except the power shades and the glass controls. Also 20” wheels as a middle of the road choice for looks and fuel economy.

Congrats. That’s what I did, too. Premium Package plus the Sky Lounge roof. I have no use for sun shades.

Just learned my car is on stop sale list at port in Bimmer Haven. Any clue on time frames. This is my first BMW.

Trevor - Fix was deployed Friday and mine was fixed that day and arrived at my dealer Saturday. So, shouldn’t take long. There’s a link earlier in this thread where you can use your VIN to check the status of the fix. Open means not fixed; closed means fixed.

Emailed my rep this morning and he found that the software fix was available. They needed a couple of hours to flash the software and I can pick it up tonight.
