Does the display key still work for the 2024 5 series
Hello good morning/afternoon/evening depending on when you read this. I have a question regarding the display key, does it work with the 2024 models or no ?. I haven’t found anything regarding this or an answer to it so I’d appreciate any information you can give me about this matter.
With that said thank you for reading this, and thanks for any information in advance!. |

You won't be handed one. So at least I couldn't try it out.
I had one on the X3 that I returned with the car unused. |

I think this was used before the myBMW app since now the app does what the key used to be used for. |

This key was no longer available even for G30 LCI. As an option it was last available on 2020 5 Series. I had it on my first G30 MY18. I found it nothing else but a conversation piece. Borderline useless, bulky and requiring charging.
That "remote controled driving" thingy was sad to use. I would literally had to stand two feet away from the car and keep moving with the car while holding buttons on that remote. Long story long... all this functionality is now replaced by BMW app. I doubt you can retrofit this key onto G60 platform. |
