Sunroof on my i5 M60
Hi everyone,
I purchased a new I5 M60 and after taking it home I noticed the sunroof opens half way when I pull on the button and then I have to press it again to get it to go all the way back. Is it normal for the sunroof to open in 2 steps basically? The dealership says that’s normal but I was curious why BMW is doing this. |

Interesting, in Europe, we do not have the option at all to get a normal sun roof which opens, just the sky lounge :/

Apparently no one here needs this roof that only opens halfway.

The first time I opened it, I was like, “That’s it? What’s the point?” It’s a little annoying to have to push the button twice. There definitely seems to be more noise from this design than in my 2021 M550.

When I lived in Florida, I would open my sunroof partway to let heat out of the car while parked. But, it was small enough of an opening that no one could get in the car.

In my old 2014 328i the sunroof would retract completely into the roof. I’m annoyed that this one only retracts about 3/4 of the way.
