I can’t stand the split hood to the grill look it looks like nostrils.

The lights look weirdly disproportionate to the rest of the car because of the way they angle back like the 2 series.

Something is off.

That's probably what happened with this remote work...
Designers.l working from home, stepping away from the.keyboard for 30 seconds and their kids or cats messing with the keys.

The rectangle on the front is “tragic”

I am sure it has to do adaptive/pilot assistance but damn….Put the engineers in a room and don’t let them out until they figure it the eff out.

Sad.

I like the frozen grey on gloss black theme there, looks good. It’s not the paint that’s the problem, it’s the canvas…

I can’t believe BMW did this to the 5 series.

I'm weirdly happy that the title of this thread is "walkaround" and not "looks amazing" like the other thread.

Legend has it, these three people were attempting to calm the one hysterical person at the event that claimed the car looked "amazing".

BMW, remove that ///M badge. It means much less than it was intended to at this point.

People wrap PPF all the time. Frozen is a single stage that’s can’t be blended. Or polished. Not sure if it’s more work considering the paint is so thin on any clearcoat.

Any finish feels non robust these days

Anyone who thinks it’s high maintenance or stealth PPF over gloss is the answer, fair enough.
In the real world neither are true.
Even today my nephew wanted to take pictures of the car downtown (he’s into photography) in todays light conditions the paint showed hues I’ve never seen.
Stealth PPF, yes maybe over black it can capture some of that matte look. But frozen deep grey has many surprises, even after 18 months.
Simple PH neutral wash shampoo, and dry. No swirls, no holograms on my car, looks like new.
Yes, if it’s damaged and needs paint it’s a problem. But I’d get rid of any car after bodywork, it’s just the way I am so I’ll enjoy it until that happens.
And PPF installs, if Steve jobs is aplying it I’m all in….
I’m enjoying the paint I paid for, worth every penny.
You sound like one fastidious dude. I like that.

What is BMW’s fascination with huge piano black accents? Looks absolutely terrible

Like all modern BMWs close up pictures really don't help the design. Back up 15 feet and the car looks "ok". I'm just happy BMW is not making anymore bucktooth grills.

The G30 is much better looking than the new G60.
