I wonder how all of that shiny black plastic looks after a year’s use - unless it’s protected with PPF, likely lots of scratches and swirls.

Im hopeful BMW has fixed the poor UV coat issue we saw on previous Msport cars. IN harsher climate the black not only got swirls and scrathes but also acquired a bleached somewhat violet tone to it. Not a nice look on a car thats 3-4 years old but those who lease these for 2 years like disposable company cars dont care obviously.

Just think,...had the internet been available around the early 1900s,...farmers behind plows and mules would have made similar comments during the onset of gasoline powered machinery!,...and not having the ability to analyze why his neighbor with a 'tractor' made at the time was able to work his fields and crops faster and longer with 1 tractor than he could with 4 mules! Oh well...

Judging by recent models it will turn purple due to the UV because it's clearcoat on raw plastic.

It’s an electric car isn’t it; Is there an EV that’s not a pig (I’m assuming it’s pertaining to its weight).

Plenty of hp is still nice to have especially if it’s on Xdrive. Plus you need that with the weight. 😅

What do you think of the M Performance kit? Next up for us I think we'd have liked to have lowered the car down a little to close that arch gap!
Looks great IMHO.

He appears simply to have an opinion.

Is this some kind of virtue signal?

Carbon fiber on an EV that weighs as much as an oil tanker does seem rather redundant.

Looks good!! Did you do the side skirts and rear diffuser? Yeah I don’t trust me, cause I would put it on and hit the battery and blown up my car lol. 😂 I will get the sides skirts done this spring.

Nice work - I saw you post your plan on the other i5 forum (aka the ghost-town) - looks like it worked out well!

Mine was wrapped PPF black. Self healing PPF so really never have swirls/scratches
Also did the side and B-pillars. After 3 months not one little micro scratches
Love it. Shout out to Colberns detailing in Ventura, Ca.

would you mind taking a couple measurements of the fender badge to help determine the exact placement and the angle it is on?

I asked same question when I got car. But ended up guessing I looked a European M60 and I believe it’s very close. But if you like sure. I can

It's best to ask your dealer.
