Thought about ordering this yesterday. Decided to wait. Glad I did.

Where can we buy the Tesla adaptor to charge CCS cars at NACS chargers?

I don't believe BMW cars are setup to charge at Tesla chargers yet except those with the "magic dock" setup (and you don't need an adaptor for that - it's built into the charger). Perhaps when the BMW agreement goes into effect later this year or next year BMW will provide adaptors at no cost to use at non-magic dock chargers.

That's what I thought but after seeing the video that Skyking posted I looked in my Tesla app under charging options. The app allows you to input the type of car you have. I chose BMW iX (they don't have i5 listed yet but there is i3, i4, iX) then there are a few supercharging stations near the Bay Area that show up as available: one in Santa Cruz and two near Sacramento.

The Tesla website shows:

There are 3 types of Tesla Superchargers:

Tesla-only Superchargers, which only work for Tesla vehicles.

All EVs Superchargers, which are available for all EVs to charge with a “Magic Dock” adapter that is provided at the charging post.

NACS Superchargers, which will become available gradually, by vehicle manufacturer, and can be accessed through an adapter. The adapter has to be provided by your vehicle manufacturer. For new vehicles that are NACS-equipped, no adapter will be necessary.

The following vehicle manufacturers have access to NACS Superchargers:

Ford
Rivian

*Possibly those are magic dock equipped chargers you are seeing in the Tesla app? They don't require an adaptor.*
