Took delivery of 24 540i

Ordered back in Jan 24
Arrived to the dealer 5/1

Pretty much every option except driving assistance, luxury seating, and upgraded leather upholstery.

First impressions….what a substantial machine. Steering is very light (almost feels Mercedes like) but very direct. M-sport suspension is just right as well. Stiff enough to feel connected but isolates just enough to minimize impact radiation to the body. Interior quality is really good as well. Powertrain needs to be broken in but it already feels soooo smooth and powerful.

Originally ordered for myself but decided to get the LCI m440i convertible instead. Ended up convincing my mom to pick it up

Dark graphite metallic. I did not like any of the available colors tbh. Thought that the graphite with 21 in wheels looks most acceptable. In person it really grew on me especially with the lit up grill

Hey nice car love the color. My question is your welcome light. What option is that have that design on the ground? Mine is a basic light shown on the ground. Is it Specific to ICE models?

I honestly couldn’t tell you. When messing around with settings yesterday, in the exterior lighting section, there was a section to adjust the timing of the carpet light all of the way on the bottom of the menu screen. I would check to see if there is something in the menu that you need to enable.

The carpet light on the ground is the same one I have in my i5 eDrive40. Would be interested to see how yours looks if it's different than that.

That's interesting. Hey, even though there is no pattern, it looks like it might be brighter than the pattern lights, so not all bad. I'm still hoping that BMW eventually sells some replacement patters anyway, like they did with some of the older 5 series cars. Then we can put whatever we want there.

It’s most likely just a lens change like the puddle lights at the bottom of the doors.
