I keep hoping I get the message next Monday (Week 36) mine has shifted to 151 (Body Shop) so I know it's finally being put together. I've been at 150 it seems like FOREVER!!!!!

(not in a small part for the selfish reason of knowing EU timeframes for a 5-er are tolerable). I waited for my X1 for 6 months in 2023. They had some major supply shortage problems.

It's going to stand out here for awhile. I have only seen one US Spec G60 in Southern Spain. And it was a 520d. It's likely mine will be the first (Or Only) 540iX in the entire country for awhile. I know for my Military Sales brokerage mine is the first, and only one they have ordered. They have a 2024 530iX they ordered on Spec, they still have not been able to sell yet.

My 550e was in 150 for several weeks. The production date is tomorrow and today it finally entered the paint booth. I was getting concerned.

My 550e has a production week of 37, yet is still in 112.

Anyone seen an update to electric miles estimated in a US vehicle?

Here is what my CA said as of August 19

“I spoke with my product specialist, he has informed me BMW is still TBD on the electric range, but based on other PHEV cars and SUVS in the linup, I expect it to be somewhere between 30-40 miles of electric range.”

Hope 30-40 is correct. All I see is 25 estimated on the website. Same as M5.

Any idea of date of first deliveries?

It's lighter, has a bigger battery and is more aerodynamic than my Pacifica PHEV and that's rated at 32 miles EV. I'm expecting 35-40.

After what has seemed like a long wait, my 550e order has started to move through production. The production date was set in July as 9/2/24 so this is really right on schedule.

Update, just moved to 150 today (8/29) and I have a VIN!!

Congratulations. What 150 really means is they are now sourcing and gathering the parts to build your car. It's not actually on the assembly line yet. So far mine has been 150 since sometime in July, and I am scheduled for week 36 (Next Week) production. Will keep posting.

Well, it went quickly through to Quality check but no movement since 8/30. The Genius line said there was no particular problem so hopefully it gets unstuck soon.

Quality check was about a week for mine as well. Now she has been at the port for a bit over a week. Still hopeful I have her by October.
