As a recently new BMW owner, where does everyone get their accessory items? I don't see much at all available yet for the G60 (I have a 540ix) and am currently trying to find a simple door sill protector with a BMW type logo.(not one that is led/illuminated)

Same. I loved my illuminated Jaguar door sill protector. I haven’t found one yet for my i5.

I bought some cheap “carbon fiber” type M performance seeing our sills are soo wide. I called the dealer and they wanted like $700 per side set? Just looking for same, something simple. If the $40 ones from Amazon are any good and I put them on I’ll update with pics

You can buy OEM door sill trims. It’s not so much of a protector but an actual accessory. This is an iX but the same trim is used for G60 and U11. Can be had in two other style. BMW logo or M logo (both in aluminum I believe, not carbon like this M Performance once)

(again, new to the bmw options world) I looked in the bmw site store and using my car it did not have a door sill trim option to buy. Maybe you can share a link so I can see where you find them. Im just looking for a simple logo to help with scuffs/scratches on this section that is just paint, I dont need a hard plastic or aluminum piece.

This is the same part but in M logo form. I just googled and this is what I found. See the 4th photo for all three options of door sill trim.

How come the G60 doesn't have Door stills, would you have to get up to the 7 series to get illuminated? Doorstills

It’s kind of messed up if you look by car. The model doesn’t matter. Just look for the door sill plates.

Why is it so difficult to find these things on various BMW part websites? Most don't even list the G60 in their auto configuration tools. Which, as others have said, doesn't seem to be a factor as long as your stick with the aforementioned models.

The only thing I've come up with is from another post:
Front Entrance Cover 519082 - BMW (51-47-9-464-399)

This seems to be the silver ones with the M logo. I can't locate a number for rear ones, assuming they even make them?

lol returned the cheap ones from Amazon, they were like a thin sticker. Would look good except zero depth/thickness.

There aren’t rear ones. These are listed as only for the front.

I ordered these LED lit door sills. You charge them first, then put them on. They are magnetic, so if they look junky, there is no damage. They threw in the star roof for free. It plugs into USB. Might look cool on the sky lounge roof.

I got the front CF sill set about $430 from dealer. When I order they accidentally only order one. I thought for the price still high but it’s CF. Then when recieved it only one I was what the heck. But looked so nice had to order other. But they should be little bigger cover more sill.

Here are some of the things that I have on my accessory list. For translation, emblem side panels are MSport Badges. Front Entrance Covers, are Msport door sill protectors.

I'd say these are all easy DIY installations. Based on a previous thread where someone was quoted $599 to install MSport badges, I'd say it's worth it to forgo dealer installation.

You can likely Google search by the part number and see photos of most of them.

Oh! I saw these. I'll be really curious to see what you think about them. I searched for videos on the "Roof Glow" product but couldn't find a single one. Perhaps it's really new? Be careful, though. That reminds me of the galaxy projector I have for my bedroom. If the laser light catches your eye just right, it can really blind you at night. I'll be curious to see how you can 'focus it' to only hit the panoramic roof area.

They do look small I also thought I ordered rear but it’s only one set and dealer has those as front. Wish it was longer. But once on I got used to it.
I’m glad the adhesive decals are readily available since have to order a set. To use the quarter panel section.
Also the front middle lip were broken by the tint shop when I took it get panamic glass heat protection. Those I paid less this time then when I purchase in Dec. like $60 less. Was only $480 each.

These arrived today. Very shiny. The LED doesn’t seem to work right, though. Always on when I am inside. But turn off when I attach them. Tonight, I opened my door and they flashed then turned off. They have a solar cell, so I will charge them tomorrow and see if it fixes it.

I do like that they are magnetic. I can pull them off to charge, then put them back.

Interesting. I like that they are magnetic. The ability to remove something like this easily is very nice, in case you don't like them or they stop working.

See. I'm the other way. I would prefer if it was plugged into the car permanently, or not lit at all. Once I install it, it becomes part of the car, and I don't want to have to remove it to charge or change batteries.

Scrapula Hi! how are these working out for you? Also, was that lighting affect they provided for the skylounge roof something you like?
