What happened?

No clue yet. Parked at a restaurant on way home everything fine. Got in car to continue home and had a chassis fault warning on dash. It said driving was still possible but holy crap was the ride home bumpy. Seems something is wrong with the adaptive suspension.

Shit! So sorry. After the car sat locked and re-set....did it return to normal?

Wishing you a speedy fix. Things like this are why I always pass on esoteric options. I've always gone with the stock suspension and things like that as I own my cars for 6-7 years, largely out of warranty and I see things like air/adaptive suspensions as just more things that can go wrong. I'm sure they'll get this sorted out for you quickly though.

This happened to me once in the Berkshires, MA. I got in, drove slowly to where I was going and got out and locked up. When I got back in about an hour later the warning was gone, everything was fine with the car and it was never replicated. Weird how sometimes these codes seem to have a life of their own.

Fault cleared by itself parked overnight. Back to 100% pure driving pleasure.

maybe you should still have this documented at the dealer. well check engine light on my 2024 530i cam on a few weeks ago on my way to Walmart, came out the store light was off. never came back on. I figured if it comes back on I would bring the car in because I know there not going do anything with no fault error. and there was nothing on the display.

Also, keep pictures of the displayed fault...in case you need it later.

A few years ago our two Phantoms used to pop us "Servotronic Steering Failure" messages. Parking, locking and letting the cars go to sleep....error messages cleared every time. The Rolls dealer used to laugh and tell us compliments of BMW Group
