Does anyone here use the OEM BMW charging wallbox? How does it compare?
Just curious how the BMW Wallbox compares to other good charge units (like a Chargepoint, etc).
I don't want to cheap out on something that sucks....even if they are giving me the Wallbox for free.

I know there are some folks on here who use it and I don't remember any complaints about it over any other "chargers". I suggest you go over the the State of Charge YouTube channel and check out the top chargers for 2023 (or maybe they have top 2024 now).
If you don't want to spend much time on it, I think you'll probably be just fine with the BMW Wall Box. Just know that it is a 40 Amp charger so will charge slightly slower than what an i5 can accept in the USA. BMW's Wall Box charges at up to about 9.6 kW (40 Amps), while the i5 can accept anything up to a maximum of about 11.5 kW (48 Amps). I think you'll find that difference almost negligible in every-day usage so I wouldn't stress over not having a 48 Amp charger. That's my 2 cents.
