I took delivery of my i5 M60 on 3/20 and I love driving it around. It is a replacement for my 2015 M3. The new car has much more of a luxury feel and all of the technological advancements are great. I'm looking forward to driving this car for many years. What seemed like a long wait for it to get here will soon just be a moment in time. Everyone should have fun tracking their build process, and even more fun enjoying the car when it gets delivered.

I jinxed myself thinking the car would already be completely assembled and on its way to the port by now. My car is still in quality check. Anyone else have that happen with their i5/5 series build? I saw that other series have had this happen but there's no clear consensus on why, maybe backlog of cars or maybe missing a part, or how long-some owners it took weeks to get moving again.

My build is just a day behind yours and I too was getting pretty excited about seeing the car transported to the port but I've been stuck in quality check for a week now. It's a 540i xDrive.

You’re going to love your 540i! I took delivery three weeks ago, and it’s been a blast. There’s a lot of tech in the car to learn, but that’s part of the fun.

My i5 m60 just left bremerhaven in transit to east coast 3/26 it flipped from at port to transit after 14 days at port.

Any clue if the baltimore bridge/port disaster will have a huge impact on delivery?

Such a tragedy. Certainly diminishes the importance of bringing my new wheels in timely fasion.

Just thought id check if anyone had some idea of what i can expect.

Call the Genius line for the ship name. You can then track it through various marine tracking websites and see if the terrible disaster is impacting its schedule or ports of call.

I'm sure BMW is working hard on contingencies... wouldn't be surprised to see them redirect Baltimore-bound vehicles to the VPC in Georgia for a while. Re-opening the port in Baltimore is going to be a project, for sure.

Yes, I don't want to seem insensitive given the loss of life, but I did look up the location of BMW's VDC in Baltimore and learned that it is on the sea side of the bridge. I've seen a few articles since that suggested BMW will not be significantly impacted due to the location of their terminal, other than land transportation that will need to be rerouted.

Thankfully my transport was able to ship my 540i from Maryland to Mass on Monday morning, right before the day of the disaster. Makes me wonder whether the transport crossed over that bridge.

I am anticipating a lengthy delay at Bremerhaven after the tragic accident in Baltimore. The next to wallenius wilhelmsen RORO’s that we’re scheduled from Bremerhaven to Baltimore on Mar. 30 and Apr 3th are no longer listing Baltimore as a stop. Next one listed is Apr 9th.

This for me was very fast. I leave on the Canadian East Coast, which makes a big difference for freight, but I was very pleasantly surprised to receive it so fast. Kudos to BMW Moncton, they were supportive and informative and had a no-pressure attitude that made buying this car the easiest car purchase I have experienced to date. I'm discovering the car little by little and in just three days I already drove the 500km/300mi break in period. I'm just delighted.

They will just take the cars to a different port of entry. This is only going to stop cars being delivered to Baltimore.

Sparrows Point where the VDC is in Baltimore is before the bridge. But I think that the movements will be so limited for a few weeks, and even after that, Sparrows Point will become VERY popular with other shippers.

I have been code 193 at port almost 21 days now and my advisor still shows it listed to go to Baltimore. As far as I can tell all of the major car carriers have nothing scheduled departing Bremerhaven to Baltimore/Sparrow Point till mid April now. I'm not expecting delivery till mid to late May possibly early June. If 2025 model ordering guide has new options available I want its going to be hard to not want to start over and order a 2025 lol.

Status changed to ‘In transit’ today and got confirmation from BMW genius that the car was loaded on 4/8 in Zeebrugge on the Cygnus Leader. Due in Port Hueneme on May 2.

Did they say anything to you about a stop sale? I have a I5 M60 on order that left form Bremerhaven on 4/6 that has two stop sales on it.

They did not mention that, but I also didn't ask. Is there any other way to see this information?
