2025 G90 M5 Digital Preview! (Inside and Out)
https://www.autoevolution.com/news/a...g%20the%20way.
Some great renders! I can work with this if this is what the G90 will look like. Enjoy!

Man i just am not getting the vibes for this at all. Looks weak. Three years in and still hate the screens. Just looks too toyota / kia.
Bmw and m cars in particular always remind me of a tailored suit. The body just fits right. This looks like a departmet store suit that hasnt even been sent for alterations yet. Hoping it looks better in person as i love my current ride and want to stay w the brand.

I laughed out loud when I saw the carbon bucket seats in the renderings. No way I would order the new M5 with that. My birthday is next week and I hope the official reveal comes then.

Looks decent but still a clear downgrade from the g30/f90 looks wise. I find it annoying these renders always have the cars slammed with no wheel gap, fully stanced out like they come this way from the factory.
They did this with g80 renders too and of course it made it look way better than stock. If you stance out a f90 it still looks much better imo. Also, the front grills look way smaller than what it looks like on an i5. |

Never. IMHO I think pre-lci is the best looking M5, because keeps the original looks with a modernized touch. LCI and on started changing the overall look and here we are, damn EV engineers.

Well maybe its grower not a shower? The interior looks very busy. I can imagine a driver going into an epileptic fit if all that shit lights up and displays to much information. Not sure about the seats with that CF bump "thing" in the middle. However, if it the seat heaters/AC ventilation is on point, a person's crotch could stay the perfect temp. That is until a hard break, then its good for nothing but a stomach ache.

These renderings are only strengthening my resolve to buy my car at the end of the lease. Plus, I'm not loving the idea of another 400-500 pounds on what is already a heavy car, that is plenty fast in current form.

One other positive is the i5 had a "smaller presence" than I would have expected. At first I thought it was a 3 series. It seems to defy the trend of every generation getting bigger and bigger.

I was excited about the new m5 but the renderings are worrying me, I currently have a 23 m5c, I had a deposit for the new m5c and took it back and went in a different direction and placed an order for the Cayenne Turbo GT April build. Still love the ride of BMWs, my wife has the xb7 and I love taking it on long trips

It's not so ridiculous when you consider they will be needlessly adding complexity and weight with batteries probably to the tune of 400-500 lbs more than necessary over the current gen. So ya sounds like alot and it is until you realize the added performance benefit from that extra power wont be all that much because the weight sucks most of it up.
Which leads to me to the next thouight/question which is why? Why bother adding that added weight with batteries when there are other easier ways to make more power? What's the point? The heavier the car the sloppier it feels and the more power you have to add to accommodate the extra weight. I don't get it. Hybrid for full economy reasons I get sort of. But for extra performance in a high performance car? Just why? |

I think a hybrid M5 that has battery only driveability is good... So you can drive to the dealer on battery after the coolant expansion tank leaks and kills your fuel injectors.
It is dumb, but they think this is what the market wants. Maybe it does. Or maybe it's a fad. Either way I'm keeping my F90 for at least a decade so I only care about the G90 successor, if there is one. |

I'm down for one I think. I still need to see the reveal and what not like everyone else. I would like one just wish they would forgo this hybrid nonsense in a high performance car and just use bigger turbos etc. If I don't like it for some reason then I may get a 22-23 -24 garage queen low miles F90 or perhaps I'll order a ct5 V BW. They very nice also. I had a 16 V3 which I loved so i'm not stranger to Cadillac either. We'll see. Hoping I love the new f99 M5C though.

Regarding the new M5. Did you guys see the article from auto evolution? Came up on my Google feed the other day. Talking about how the new M5 supposedly is going to roughly 1000 lbs heavier than the current gen f90?? Wtf?? Good I hope that’s wrong. wtf are they thinking seriously? What makes them think we want a high preforming car that’s a tank? I mean the car is supposed to be for the track as well. Who wants to track a5200 lb car around? My x5mc weights that much but it’s an suv. I really can’t believe what they are doing. All for this battery garbage.

Hi all..
I’m not completely sold on this but as with all newer designs, I always reserve my final judgement until it’s been out a while, test driven & reviewed and basically once my eyes and brain become accustomed to seeing it. I do know that with time, in the past, what I’ve previously not been keen on, I sort of grew to appreciate it and then actually like it. Seeing it in person for me can make a huge difference too… Hell… I’m just happy that they’ve retained an actual proper gear selector and not reduced it to some short stubby looking thing…!! I’m sort of old school like that.. |
