Unlikely that’s the priority for BMW, with all the electrification it’s likely to lose the hydraulic type behavior even further.

Idk...i5 reviews are pretty positive so who knows..perhaps that is the generation they figured it out as car production lifecycle are 6-7yrs so the five is among the last of the G's.

There are 2 smaller screens all integrated and glued/packed into one assembly. There is a bezel in between as a result between the normal iDrive screen and the odometer dash screen. They only show part of it (one half) to make it look like a split, it’s likely going to be a single seamless package in a curved format like other vehicles.

Around 6.45 min mark is likely the most detailed view of the screen sans attachment and dash.

Talking of prices , my guess is that the g60 will not be cheap given how inflation has been going
In the U.K., any car over £40000 has to pay more vehicle excise duty for its first 5 years and I have my doubts that even the base model with no options will be under that. As the 5 is traditionally a conservative model , it’ll be interesting how it is viewed |

I am guessing i5 will be slotted somewhere between i4 and the iX, much closer to the iX.
Wild guess, starts around $65K + packages and options. Will come with some sort of federal rebate stateside being a new model. ICE variants may each go up by about 5-10%.
