2024 530i….what can I say?

Just perhaps the most joyful, satisfying vehicle of my long full life! New car from the ground up…I expected issues. But no! Zero. Every part of it works perfectly, without a hint of a glitch or a need for a reboot. There was a misplaced seatbelt buckle…and that took me one full day to identify. Easily remedied. Suffice to say, all of this new car is thought out and with purpose. The icing on the cake is a consistent 29 - 30 urban mpg and 37 mpg freeway. Glad I moved forward on the purchase. No hesitation in recommending to us would be early adopters! Happy New Year to this select group.

After hearing a lot about problems with EV's, mine has been nearly flawless over the past month and 1K miles. Some minor iDrive glitches that went away without issue. In fact, it's working better than it ever did in my 2021 X5, which had Android Auto disconnect on me every month or so.

Skyking….do the over the mountain drive from the Desert to San Diego on the 74. I do it almost weekly. Many years of that. Free coffee at the highest point at the casino in Anza. Never gets old.

I will definitely check it out. I'm sure that my wife and I will be looking for excuses to take some more road trips once we have the car. I'll look that one up. Thanks for the tip!

I looked at Google maps but don't see the 74 going anywhere near San Diego. Are you talking about going from the Palm Springs area down to San Diego? If so, what route do you take?

SkyKing….the 74 freeway from Palm Desert into the 79 freeway. Follow thru Temecula into the 15 South….and then…the 56 if you’re wanting San Diego coastal cities (La Jolla, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Encinitas). The 56 isn’t mountainous, but it’s So Ca at its best!
