is impossible to get anything unless, you are spending over $100k a year with them , my ad is in fort lauderdale and only was able to get the deepsea blue and the wimbledon

I'm on the list for the Daytona and SkyDweller. I just bought a Zenith in the meantime. The movement was once in the Daytona.

After months of lurking, I traded in my Model S last week for this! So far i have about 150 miles and it feels awesome!! Very “sturdy” as my youngest calls it. My wife loves the new a/c vent design. I was concerned about missing features from my Model S but so far so good! Found this one on the lot and it checked all the boxes. I decided to go with the e40 because I didn’t care for the extra power and $. This is our second BMW (other is an X7).

Congratulations! The car looks great on the outside and the inside. I've had my eDrive40 for about 3 weeks now and also love it. Like you, I didn't want to spend more on the 600 HP and felt that the eDrive40 had more than enough power for me (plus I wanted to maximize my range).

Not mine but had this very nice i5 M60 as a loaner the other day! Also I’m unsure if this is tanzanite or phytonic blue?
Getting one is growing on me… I might go for it pretty soon😭

The M60 models in the US have all the side emblems deleted for some reason. Nobody gets them. I guess this is what BMWNA has decided.

Given the full sunlight it looks too dark to be Phytonic, and more like my TZII X6. But, the way to check is to look very closely at the flecks of color in the paint. If they're a bunch of different colors, then it's TZII. Or, wait until dusk and see if it turns dark purple, which is also a good indication.

Phytonic is surprisingly dark, even in full sunlight. My wife and I scoped out a number of Phytonic cars in full sunlight two weeks ago at Irvine BMW and it was disappointingly bland in it's drabness, very little pop to it. Likely due to the uniformity of the metallic flake.

Still trying to understand why BMW is providing both Phytonic and Tanzanite. They are so similar (imo). Should have gone with Portimao or something a bit more flashy. Miami or Daytona blue maybe!? Or maybe a green like British or SAn Remo.

I'm with you there! Phytonic as the "bright" blue is a disappointment. Tanzanite is the clear "classy blue" option and Phytonic is just bleh. Portimao would have suited the car well and gives a bit more pop without being too loud.



San Remo would be a slick option I feel.

Maybe they’ll change for MY25. I mean the line up is boring lol. 5 greys (if you count the frozen), 2 blacks, 2 blues, 2 whites…. And a nice Red.

That’s why I ordered an Individual (Isle of Man). Gotta add some spice to your life!

Yup, I'm feeling like Individual is gonna be the way to go for us; sure wish Estoril was still available! Phytonic really is a grey-heavy blue and is a poor excuse for a strong blue color option.


IOMG is a sick color and you've made a great choice. I see many an M3 around here in IOMG and despite not liking the styling of the car, the color is a wow'er for sure!

This is Tanzanite Blue in the sun. My phone camera doesn’t do it justice as there are so many different shades of mica flakes. It can be almost black in the shade. It’s an amazing color.
