Anyone notified of another stop sale due to ISOFIX rear seat anchor issue?

As of this moment it doesn't appear that BMW has a fix for this recall. Just wondering if anyone has any further information about this or any idea regarding how long this might delay deliveries.

I wonder if this issue is affecting vehicles already delivered. Obviously can't stop sale delivered ones but did anyone get any good old fashioned recall notices ?

I just had the same thought. Previously built G60's would have the same issue so it would only be logical to assume that current owners would be receiving a notice to bring their vehicles in to have this addressed (once BMW has a fix in place, of course).

Not necessarily true that previous owners would have the same recall. Might be an issue with new parts being used. Still have not heard back from BMW NA about this yet.

I agree with the post above by Trevor G. My car was "born" on Feb 1 and has been sitting at the port since Feb 4. When I check its VIN for open issues none appears. Sure, the checker website may not be 100% accurate but so far, no recalls posted for my VIN (keeping my fingers crossed).

Excellent point and one that hadn't occurred to me. This could be a case of a small bad run of a particular part that only impacted a limited number of cars.

I guess I won the lottery.

My 540 was born on 1/18 and remains in port due to the ISOFIX issue. I've asked my SA for additional details, but nothing specific yet. Has anyone here received more of a specific update?

My recall for this was showing ‘open’ until a couple of days ago, and now says ‘closed’……so assuming all fixed.
I’ll call my dealer tomorrow to confirm…🤞🏼

Thanks for the update. Pardon my asking, can you help me with finding the status of my recall? Not sure I know where to go to get the actual status. Much appreciated.

Thanks. This was helpful in that it confirmed the ISOFIX stop sale and pointed me toward the Genius line. But the rep I spoke to could not confirm remedy.

By the way, I assume these vehicles are just sitting out in a parking lot exposed to the elements. I'm not sure how I feel about my brand new BMW sitting out in the elements for months...

I think based on photos on the website below (but not 100% sure) that cars leave the factory with some sort of shipping "wrap" on them that is removed at the VPC. So, it should have some level of protection at the European port.

Wait

Also have a 530 at the VPC. Ordered in early November and got to the port on Monday. Do you think it will be a week or two or is it more likely to be months?

Dealership thinks a couple of weeks but I’m not sure if they just don’t want me searching for another car.

A bit of good news. I had the ISOFIX stop sale and within a day of arrival at the VPC it was fixed and released to the dealership with no stop sales or recalls, so you should be fine.

Picking the car up on Wednesday.

Just wondering if those of you impacted by the ISOFIX stop sale have checked to see if it's been fixed and cleared for release to the dealership?
My stop sale for this was fixed and on its way to the dealership in one day upon arrival at the VPC.
I have to assume that your cars will also get a quick fix and clearance also.

Still radio silence on my end. Recall still shows "open" status. Car remains at port in Germany. Although I have not received anything official, my assumption now is that there is a remedy now (taking psychdoc's post into account), and the plan is to load on a boat and address in the US. At least that's what makes sense to me.

I'm on the Gulf Coast, not sure which vessels serve the South East.

It must be nice to live so close to Germany so your car doesn't have to spend 2-4 weeks on a ship just to get to your local area.

Congratulations and good luck with delivery!

I can guess what that means. My current G01 was built in Spartanburg, SC and also took a while to get to Germany.
But things went pretty quickly with my G60. SoP on Jan 26th. Arrived at dealer on Feb 12th.

Still at port since January 22. This can't be normal, right? Anyone else stranded?
