Just like with ICE cars, some can afford a Maybach or an M5 while most others drive Hondas (very good car by the way) and other not so expensive transportation. Same will happen in the EV market.

How can this be the top car for 2024 when we haven’t even got to the end of January yet?

Absolutely true, but as someone who just placed an order yesterday, it beats the alternative of it being voted the biggest turd of '24. Doesn't mean it wont turn out that way however, but I'll take it.

Ummm, the 2024 car models (for all brands) have been out for months. The next new models will be 2025’s.

Is your state considering an increase in you annual registration to account for the loss in revenue from fuel taxes? Texas and other states have/are doing that

We pay extra registration fees in Washington State. My husband just renewed his Lightning and it was maybe $100-$150 more. So, $10 per month which is a lot less than we pay in state tax at the fuel pump. But those include a carbon tax which is eliminated from our registration fees. We just pay standard tax equivalents.

No I don't.
But I don't accuse people I don't know of dishonesty and fraud just because I don't agree with their assessment.
I'm not a narcissist, when someone doesn't agree with my view, that doesn't mean there's definitely something behind it. My view isn't the absolute truth.

I have not heard anything about this yet. Either case i can live with though. EV owners use the roads same as ICE owners do and it is just right that we contribute to the proper care of our roadways.

Georgia charges extra ($200 per year) but only if you want a special tag that lets you drive in HOV and express lanes and park in alternative fuel parking spots, which are always on the first row (especially at airport). To me, these are worth the 200

On a plus for my family, Edmunds name the Ford F-150 Lightning as the best truck EV. Win-Win for my family.

Yeah, I’ve applied for the clean air tags in CA that let you use the HOV lanes - that’s a massive time/stress saver for me on my commute. Waiting for DMV to process however…..tick, tick, tick….

I guarantee a "carbon tax" is not something as voted-on by the people, but rather implemented by the managerial class per their benevolent belief that we need such a thing.

Have they seen the new Porsche Macan EV? Similar tech to the i5, but much better EV platform.

There's not a tax that NYS hasn't considered. If the people in charge of coming up with new ways to tax us were in charge of finding a cure for cancer, no one would even know what cancer is.

It was on the ballot and I voted for it. It passed easily. There are a lot of outdoor types here who love the beauty of the state and want to keep it pristine.

Harry is like, why is no one talking about the loss of kilowatt hour? Imagine losing 10% gas during fill up.

No one is talking about it because ICE vehicles lose 60-75% of their fuel through noise and heat transference. Imagine losing 60-75% of gas during fill up? That’s what is happening in every car at the gas station, every day!
