Network/Connectivity Issue in i5 M60?

I was away for about a week, returning late last night (so the car was parked in my garage).

Today when I drove it again for the first time, I noticed a variety of connectivity issues. The personal assistant says the network is not accessible and under the graphic for it, it reads "No server connection."

Weather info has been hit and miss. It seems that calendar connection and sending to the car are delayed and iffy as well. Same as with remote climatize--I had to try several times this am.

Other info (location, charge status) seem to be updating as expected.

The CarPlay apps are also now not available again as iDrive apps or favorite buttons. This happened before and returned as mysteriously as it went.

This morning, it did give me a message that certain remote functions would not be available until I confirmed my BMW ID (which had been working fine before). It gave me a QR code, which connected me to the MyBMW app and then it indicated all was fine and cloud sync was restored.

Anyone else seen this? Any idea what's going on or what I might try to resolve it? (Rebooted iDrive already; no dice).

Did you try updating Apps & Services? It's under System Settings.

Also, make sure All is selected when it comes to services and data and info shared. Also, under System Settings.

Bummer, I haven’t had that happen to me yet…but this sort of thing does leave me a little nervous about solely relying on my phone as a key etc.

Phone as key will work, as long as you have your phone! It is independent of remote car commands via the My BMW app, as the phone as key is in the Apple Wallet on the iPhone...and even will work with a dead iPhone battery.

Aside - I used to use my Apple Watch for all contactless payments and somewhere in the last one or two rounds of watchOS and or iOS updates it stopped working….hence my bias to skepticism

Yes, phone as key has been rock solid.

Deutsch, have tried both of those, thanks. Did not help.

I'll see what it's doing today--won't be at all surprised if it is now just working. If not, I'm going to try the "longer reset" (hold volume for 70 seconds and two reboots) that apparently resets the telemetrics.

We have awful cell reception at our house, so wouldn't be surprised if there was an issue there (although it had been fine--must be using something other than Verizon, which is where we have the trouble) but it would not work anywhere yesterday.

Same issue - No Server Connection

So I had my i5 for about two weeks. No issues with remote Control, charging status etc.. Today, I can't remotely connect and performed multiple idrive resets (30s/70s). Nothing does it; the car is just showing No Server Connection. So frustrating!

I usually have good cell coverage, and I took the car out for a drive. No luck.

Any ideas anyone?

This is the case many times. Since I have been using the BMW app since 2017 for BMW PHEV and BEV...our BMW Service Ctr. tells everyone to give it 24-48 hours. Most are back end problems. But, if still not working, then make an appt.

My 2022 iX stopped communicating, and if it would....it would take MANY attempts. The dealer had to clearcut and reset the telematics unit, and then the app worked near perfectly.
