It likely won’t be like that in person.

Not terrible, but I believe we peaked with the G30/F90 LCI.
I'm more interested to see what we get when the real EV chassis is finished. |

You can't judge by that camera angle. Likely the upper range i5 will also out accelerate the F10 M5 0-120mph. And a true i5 M model will probably have 750HP+.

Well, looks like 5 series. BMWs most important car in the line up wont ever be radical, and it isn't.
I believe, someone ofc can correct me but thats quick google search, for 2022 China is 33% of their Group total market and it is their largest market (not USA)... So youre not wrong, in a way. It is designed mainly for China tastes to do well. The rest can just adopt - and guess what, most just will after grumbling, judging by this forum also.

BMW does things the opposite way…instead of having style trickle down from their flagships to their lower models, they give their flagships styling cues from their lower models! I feel like we first saw this design language in the 2GC and X1… not really a fan, but will reserve judgment until the full reveal.
Also, that trim for the hoff kink looks crazy thick, but maybe it’s some funkiness with the angle and quality of the photo… |

You literally have a E65 which is one of the worst bangle designs. Yes, you better get your flame suit on my friend.

Yes, I quite literally do, and I freakin' love it every time I peek in the garage and look at it. Chris Bangle's cars were brilliantly designed, this G60 has a lot of E60 (another home-run design) in it if you look closely.

Yeah, clar is the problem, why do you need to have a drivetrain tunnel and compromised front passenger space due to the engine bay? Clar platform makes sense for different engines and even hybrid, but not pure electric, electric cars will be much lighter and more practical if they have their own design.

Dude, were we talking about side bland design, right? What i or non-i has to do with the lateral design? Nobody will change the lateral design, M, or non-M.
The new one is bland. Just look at the F side profile and you can see the lines and flow and things happening in there. And look at that bland sheet of metal on the new i with a single cheap line going from the front to the bumper. The new one is one boring sheet of metal with Genesis vibe, the other one is a lateral that has uniqueness and screams BMW. Is an active, in-motion design. Pretty much what the industry calls a kinetic design. |

If ever one wondered what a Peugeot 508 would look like with a BMW face.

If you look closely at the grille, is that a square sensor in the middle of it? Kind of like Mercedes has done? Don’t love that implementation if so.
Otherwise hard to say conclusively. Not bad. Maybe very good. Need more angles. |
