BMW i5 service cost

Hi guys, my dealer (UK) has given me a price of the car I want via lease for an msport pro with tech pack. Happy with the price.

However, he has said for maintenance package which includes everything (incl tyres) apart from damage is going to be 3k a year (36month lease). Is this too high? Or should I just pay for this separately as and when car requires servicing. Would rather keep the 3k and spend it on a better colour (that poramio blue or whatever it is called)

Thanks

That sounds like a lot
For comparison my 2024 m550 maintenance pack (not tyres) for 5 years was £1100

Not sure what mileage your lease is but that to me would suggest that they are expecting you to change all the tyres in those 3 years. That’s the only way I can think that makes sense

Still sounds pricy to me though

I’d thought servicing for a BEV would be less than a ICE in general?

The tyres are normal aren’t they in the i5 so I would expect to be less than the runflats on previous generations of this car

Just my thoughts. I’d price it up and see if it makes sense

Seems unreasonably high. There is hardly any maintenance the first few years. I would pay as you go.

Mileage is 30k a year. Basically got the offer of 1.3k a month for 36months tech pack and colour option worth 3k for msport pro.

Just not sure on this maintenance pack, he did mention something about the tyres though they being very expensive for a full set but 3k a year will set me back almost 10k!!!

In my experience all those after-market packages and warranties are wildly overpriced and are a huge revenue driver for the dealership. I'd pass and self-insure. The odds are way in your favor.

£3K per year for prepaid maintenance? Seems very expensive.
If you figure you'll change tires once during the kease, you can easily calculate that cost. Then there's the other maintenance items such as brakes, etc. I'm unsure of other maintenance items BMWs edrive system requires. Very likely not much at all but you can stop by service and speak with an advisor about it.

My guess is your selling dealer is using this maintenance pack as a profit center.

Seems WAY over priced. Even if you replaced all 4 tyres every year that’s only roughly £1500. Maintenance is almost zero, but depends how you drive- if you rely on regen braking rather than actual brake breaking (D vs B drive options) then will be lower.
I know not BMW, but in my 2 years of Tesla M3P “ownership”, I had 6 new tyres (2 were nails) and NO other costs whatsoever. Tyres were £340 each. And drove that car like a go kart…..😬🙄😉😂

Garage List
I'd skip it. It's a way for the dealership to make money by selling you more stuff. For example, when I look at the next service for my i5 in the myBMW app, it isn't until the 2 year mark from when I bought it. Also, do you really think you'll need to replace all your tires every year?! I doubt it.

Good choice not to get it for an i5.
