The new 5 has started to grow on me but in the Houston area there is little to none 540 inventory. Even in Dallas, however there are lots of 530i inventory.

I know the 540 came out later so was there just fewer allocated? Dealer had none so I test drove the 530 and it’s just not the same. 2025s are in transit.

Yeah 540s are either rare, already taken, or in transit.

Unless budget is an issue, 530 is not worth it vs the 540.

I got lucky with an incoming 540 that matched all my wanted specs (just missing the Bowers and Wilkins speakers) , but it's sapphire black with burgandy red interior and has all the packages.

It's reaching the NJ port tomorrow so it's perfect timing. I jumped on it. Will be picking it up in about 1 to 2 weeks.

Otherwise would have had to custom order it and that takes 3.months. because the only available or incoming 540s are colors I don't want (gray white etc).
