Recall Notification
Hello, I received a recall notification for my i5 M60 within the BMW app. Service action is "Coolant Changeover Valve".
Wanted to be prepared when I take my car in if this is the same issue as the knocking sounds some of us have been experiencing? This seems strange since the car is electric, wouldn't think I had a coolant changeover valve. Any clarification is much appreciated. Last edited by QandnotU; 08-22-2024 at 05:45 PM.. |

The i5 model definitely has a cooling system to help keep the cabin and the batteries cool. It doesn't sound like the same dripping issue others have described, but I'm not sure.

I think this is a different issue - there were some vehicles that were recalled to do with the coolant system of the HV battery system if I recall correctly. Might as well get all of these things done at the same time though - the A/C issue is a drain tube replacement to remove the issue with condensation pinging against the plastic drain.
