Miss Jet Black

I preferred the non-metallic Jet Black as it as darker and shinier than Sapphire Black.

I guess BMW ended it because it reduced profits.

I actually think the black pieces on the car are jet black. That’s normally been the color for all the black parts on M cars over the years.

Many companies prefer to use metallic blacks, since so many lease vehicles. Non-metallic black is super prone to swirls and scratches, whereas metallic blacks hold up much, much longer.

Metallic blacks look much better after years of use and dealers can more easily re-sell them.

I had a VW years ago that was jet black. I had to have a special tinted wax and a special crayon because it would show every swirl and micro-scratch. It was such a pain.
