Why is all the internet hype about the M5? And there is al almost zero interest in the upcoming AMG E63S?

Because we didn't get the M3 touring and there has never been an M5 touring available here in the USA, just my opinion. M3 would be in my garage now, M5 too big and expensive tbh.

It isn't just about the Touring, but the M5 in general. People are crazy about it and all mainstream media are talking about the upcoming M5, but I couldn't find any recent article about the AMG E63S, even when I searched for it.

They have an R&D lab in here in Cali. See test mules up and down the 101 all the time.

It is the same as the G81, with BMW opting not to spend money and develop a different door sheet metal for the rear door. Cost cutting.

Nobody know if a next generation E63 will even exist. The C63 is a 4 cyl turbo PHEV the S63 is a V8 PHEV and the E53 is a inline 6 PHEV. That doensn’t leave much room for a E63.

I think any ‘5 model will get the bulk of media attention as it is and has always been the benchmark in this sector
It is a big deal whether it’s to your liking or not

Can’t be long before it’s officially Ann ounces and the reviews come out

Probably a good bet it will sell more than the 2315 units of XM last year. I drove one a year ago but have never seen one in the wild.

What a horrible world this mindset creates. Hop off to your McMansion.

Sometimes reality can be disappointing. Hopefully you’ll get to the acceptance stage of grief soon.

Because they’ve already offered an E AMG wagon in the states for years. BMW did not, stateside. You’re also on a BMW forum…

EU Wagons don’t usually come with longer overhangs than the saloon version, but they do appear to be longer.

I don’t believe they’re cost cutting with the independently opening rear glass! Looking at the roof spoiler and how far it protrudes over the rear glass in this image, makes it obvious you wouldn’t be able to open just a glass hatch to any useful height without it making contact with said spoiler.
