Digital Key “Deeper Sleep” after recent OTA update?
As documented in other threads, it would appear the car is designed to stop listening for the digital key after a while when it keeps picking it up (IE, in the garage at home as happens to me).
When this would occur previously, a touch of the door handle would wake it up and thereafter it was listening to respond immediately (like when I’d park at the office and then come back out). Since the last update, it seems to be going into a deeper (too deep) sleep in the garage. Sometimes I need to touch the door handle (or pull it) several times for the car to wake up. There have been other times I’ve needed to press the trunk button to get it to respond. Again, this is new behavior since the recent OTA update. Anyone else seeing this? Thanks. |

How long do you wait after putting your hand in the door handle area? I've had to wait up to about 8 seconds sometimes for it to wake up after the initial door handle area movement. It's usually less than that, but sometimes not.

It’s always ranged anywhere from 3-8 seconds for me in this scenario.
