So guys over the last couple of months. Periodically I hear this rattle it seems to be coming from the passenger side door at first I thought it was the glove compartment but I'm not really sure it comes and goes sounds like there's something in the door but I'm not quite sure it's driving me nuts can't seem to pin poin it I should add that I have a bucket with all my cleaning stuff in the trunk it could be coming from that sometimes sound radiates I have to take that bucket out right over a few small bumps and see if I still hear it I'll report back

May not be your issue, but the passenger seat belt buckle can rattle against the door pillar after you’ve had a passenger in the front seat. Sometimes a quick repositioning of the belt will fix that.

Is it possibly from the AC fan motor on the passenger side? Maybe turn off the AC for a minute and see if that's it.

One thing I had to do was take the piano black trim underneath the center screen and give it a good push into the dash all along the length of it. I had a similar rattle of indeterminate origin and this fixed it. Worth a shot!

Another thing to try is have someone else drive while you sit in the passenger seat. You might find it's not really on the side but in the middle. That's how I figured out that the window shade wasn't in it's clip. I could have sworn that the passenger door was rattling.

Try some German Gummi Pflege and apply it all around the door seals....everywhere. Then put some thick white lithium grease or other thick lubrication compound on the metal door locks (where the door locks into the car, locking mechanism).
This usually does the trick! Good luck. Rattles are to me worse than any mechanical issue! |

I had the exact same problem, and I had it fixed by the dealer. It is the windshield washer fluid tank. It rattles and it sounds like a vibration coming from the glove compartment or passenger door when going over bumps. There is an official bulletin from BMW about this.

So I made an appointment to the dealer for next Wednesday about the rattle I did create another post regarding my right screen flickering on and off it's starting to be more frequent and as it did it again yesterday I bring it to the dealer for that a few weeks ago and I tried to say it was cuz of my phones that are connected I'm not buying that because it's doing it again I didn't record it but I feel like there's something failing in the car that's not showing up
