2024 540 lease
Hey guys,
Is there a way I can double check a lease payment? I asked what my monthly lease payment would be for a 540 at MSRP of $75,945 with a incentive of $2500 and a $2000 discount. The sales guy at the dealership said $999 per month with 6k due at signing for taxes, 1st month payment and fees. Does this seem right ? Or am I getting ripped off here? Seems slightly high but I’m not sure. This will be my 2nd lease with this dealership. |

He always maintains a spreadsheet of his available deals for leasing. I checked out his Instagram link: https://www.instagram.com/Nextlevelautobrokers/ He's got a link to a Google Doc with his current deals. He lists the 2024 540 with a value of 75,xxx at a payment of $787 with $1,500 down and 39mo/10k as the terms. This is with a discount of 8-10% of MSRP. |

maybe it's just me but leases shouldn't be damn near $1000/mo for a non-m 5 series, just had to say it .

I can't bring myself to lease. I've done it once and never really felt any attachment to the car. It always felt "borrowed". They're great for higher mileage drivers and folks that want a new one ever 2-3 years, though.

Late to the game here. As others have already mentioned, It’s a bad deal. Please do not take it. I’m in the NY area as well. Have worked with Dan. He is great.. you will save thousands off that deal. please reach out if you have any questions about how the pricing works. I’ll give all the time I can to prevent people from rewarding these over priced dealers.
Someone else already tried to post his quote but his default sheet doesn’t include the tax and it also includes MSDs which are difficult in NY. Next Level Auto Brokers Here is a more accurate lease calc for a 75k 540 8% discount and no MSDs. All NY sales taxes (using my LI tax rate) and fees as a down payment (~6000) - payment should be 833 / month. That’s 166/ m savings over 39 ms = 6400 (minus a broker fee of 600 or so). Trust me it’s well worth it. You can basically go 0 down and get ~1000 a month payment https://leasehackr.com/calculator?ma...sult_mode=true |

Disclaimer: I also respect people who want EV's to buy EV's and people who like ICE, to buy ICE. Both have plusses and drawbacks. Both damage the environment. either driving them, or building them. I saw a photo the other day in Australia I believe of an EV charging station run by a Diesel Generator. Please allow and respect people's choices. EV People do not need to call ICE drivers Dinosaurs and belittle them or their cars. It reduces you. |

Definitely don’t lease if you’re a higher mileage driver. Leasing a BMW EV vs ICE allows access to the federal tax credit which drops the cost significantly. That’s why many are going that direction. You can still buy the car at the end of the lease if you wish.

Very good point. I'm probably what's considered a very low mileage driver. My 2018 Audi A5 SB, has 34,500 miles on it, after 6 years, 2 months of ownership. I tend to keep them 6-8 years, over all. Most of this is from my WFH career, since the pandemic began. |

Just tell him he needs to beat that deal, or you're going to walk. That'll get his attention.

Reward good behavior not bad. the dealer / broker giving you the best deal upfront deserves your business. Had you not come here they would have been sooo happy to take your extra 6000 bucks.. Go custom order your perfect 540 thru Dan and be much happier!! The process won’t have someone trying to steal your hard earned money! |

You’re probably right. But it’s not a relationship the OP should want to preserve as my guess is the dealer has been taking his money for years..

So this Dan guy can assist me with ordering my specific build? I’ve tried reaching out to him through instagram and through here but I haven’t gotten a response. I also emailed him. |

It was my first car with them, first BMW actually. I find myself a loyal person so I figured he would hook me up since I did business with him already and even took him a friend who also got a car. I guess I’ll wait and see if Dan gets back to me. I did also reach out to another dealer to see who can give me a good deal. I’m ready to pull the trigger if someone gives me a good deal lol.

He just posted on his advertisement page that he will be off for a week. When he’s back you can also try the phone number he has listed. https://forum.leasehackr.com/t/next-...er/127403/4581 If you can’t wait lmk - there are others on the site that I can recommend through past experience as well. |

brokers can be helpful, but remember, they are pretty much the middleman and they are getting their cut. i was able to beat what brokers are offering on their i5 m60.

In my experience yes you may be able to beat a brokers pricing but at what cost? How much time will you be spending negotiating with different dealerships and going back and forth? And how much more will you save? Although I know for some of us (including myself) it can be a fun game and something to get enjoyment from. For most people it’s more hassle and not worth all the additional time spent.
