My car was showing At Port but was already on a vessel. Call the genius line and they will tell you if it's already on a ship.

You were correct! I saw it flip to In Transit today so I called the Genius line and learned that it boarded the vessel on Feb 17th and left the port on Feb 18th UTC. It's currently in the North East Atlantic aboard the NYK vessel called the Viking Queen.

One interesting thing to note: That ship was in Zeebrugge, Belgium on the 17th, when the Genius line says my car was put on the ship. Either the car was transported from Germany to the Belgian port for boarding, or the Genius line just assumed it boarded the ship at the last port instead of boarding the ship in Bremerhaven. Either way, at least it's on the ship now and on its way. I'm not sure when it will be in California yet, but it is scheduled to arrive in Panama on March 2nd.

I grew up in Italy. Have not been back in far to long! Need to suggest a vacation with the wife. If you end up in Rome at all try to see Via Silvestro Gherardi. Named after my great grandfather

Have been to Rome many times. Still my favorite city I have ever been in. No matter how many times we go "Roaming" in the city we still haven't seen it all. We have learned that when in Italy we choose restaurants by searching for "slow food", and never go wrong. Slow food anywhere in Italy refers to the opposite of fast food, generally meaning old world cooking styles. Via Silvestro Gherardi I don't think I have been to. One of the craziest places we stumbled on while "roaming" was the Jewish Quarter. Had the best artichokes ever. Rome is truly an amazing place.
Although driving in the city, which I did was quite an ordeal. There is a saying in Rome...Traffic lights are merely a suggestion" is very true.

On the manhole covers you will see the letters "SPQR". What it really means is " Sono Pazzi Questi Romani"
It specifically refers to their driving.
Also red light are not red, they are dark yellow.

Great suggestions. We've been to Italy many times. Going again in September. Starting off in Milan for four days. One of those days we'll be taking a train to Bologna and then we're heading down to Bari to take an eight day tour of Puglia. The food in Italy is a real joy. Never disappoints.

My car is also on the Viking Queen destined for the West coast. Several days ago it was expected in the Panama Canal on 3/1 and to Port Hueneme on 3/11. Today the expected arrival at the Panama Canal changed to 3/2. I'm hoping it will arrive at the dealership by the end of March.

Been to all of those places. In Milan next to the Movie theater is a famous quick, not "fast " food place, that is great. Look for "Panzerotti". They are well known for it.

I think we sort of hijacked the thread. Then again I started it LOL. So we are fine.

Also take the train to Lake Como, and take the "funiculore", basically a lift up the side of the mountaintop see everything. The lake borders Switzerland, and the mountains are a sight not to be missed.

And Italy in September is the best weather wise.

We spent a lot of time last year in Puglia, home base in Fasano. Drove from there to Rome. Was unbelievable trip across the country. Not too many Olive trees, lol.

About a half hour away is Puglia. Ostuni(the white city), Albero Bello, Monopoli. Locorotondo. Were some of the places we visited. All of them incredible.
Hope you are traveling by car or bus to Bari, the sights are truly amazing and worth the almost 4 hour ride.
Like I said search for "slow food" the symbol is a snail. google is your friend to find these places. The problem with all the good food is when you come back and our restaurants aren't always as good. I'm fortunate my wife is a fantastic cook. We still jar our tomatoes every Labor Day time, like her Nonna did.

You West Coasters have it rough. Transit times are much longer. The longer the voyage the greater the chance of delays also.

Unfortunately we don't sell them, but when we give some away its a strict if you don't return the jar you don't get a new one.
