Where does the liquid come from to clean the front and rear camera lenses...

And how can these reservoirs be refilled when they run out of cleaning fluid?

Can't find anything in the owner's manual about this.

I assume the same reservoir as the windshield washer fluid?

Same reservoir as the windshield washer fluid I’m assuming. The manual does note “all spray nozzles are supplied from one tank.” I’m assuming that means the camera cleaners too.

Wow! Those are some long runs from the windshield washer reservoir to the front grill and the rear decklid.

Very impressed with BMW's engineering.

Speaking of windshield washer fluid, my other cars provided the ability to see the side of the reservoir so I knew when it was full as I was filling it. I don't see that in the i5 - how do we know when it's full other than watching it pool up in the reservoir spout? Since the manual shows a capacity of 2 Liters, I suppose we could wait until it's empty and then measure 2 Liters out but that seems a little overly complicated.

Check your manual. The directions are right there under "camera cleaning." Accessible via the parking screen.

When any of my cameras are dirty, a message comes up and asks me if I want to clean it. I just choose yes.
