Definitely (!!!) turn off Logic 7. It's awful and really muddies up the sound. I've found very mild boosts to the bass and a slight boost at 5000hz creates a very detailed and balanced sound. The system is quite good.

Yes, I lowered the extreme treble band a bit and raised the overall treble band (the farthest right hand slider) by the same amount. Then I lowered the overall bass band (far left slider) but raised the 200hz band by the same amount. Finally I raised the midrange band a little bit. Sound is terrific with nice punch and good, clean bass when it's present in the music. Very articulate system.

Not at all. The system's speakers are heavily biased toward the front and that's where the real quality is. The rear speakers are really just what I would call "fill speakers."

Your best sound is going to come from the front so I see no purpose in fading the sound distribution toward the back of the car.
