My build was showing as “in transit” from 3/25 - 4/8, today it moved back one peg to “at the port” again. Cause for concern?glitch?

Normal. Once it arrives in the US, the tracker moves backward to "at the port." It means at the arrival port in the US.

When I was asking costumer relations for a ship name the information was offered and I confirmed with my SA

Yes, happened to me too. When it arrived in the port here in the US, the online tracker moved back to at the port. Contact your dealer to get an estimate of when they think they might have it.
