Well, the best source of information here has no news so I guess we just wait it out.

As I was getting my personal consultation with a product specialist in the new G60 at the Welt yesterday, I mentioned how Americans really wanted the M3 touring as one passed by. Then said something about we’re supposed to get the M5 touring instead. His response was indefinite as if to say it’s not coming to the US. And yet he was very clear/precise in answering most other questions. It may be nothing, or just another data point. We’ll see.

In production until 06/30.
11/23: adding worldwide 530e (B48M2+EM, 295hp), 530e xDrive, and 550e xDrive (B58U2+EM, 480hp), US 540i xDrive (B58M2, 370hp) and 550e xDrive.
03/24: adding worldwide and US i5 xDrive40.
07/24: Adding worldwide 540d xDrive (same engine as 740dx) and US M560e xDrive (B58M2+EM, 565hp).

Is the M560e no longer coming to the US?
He has not updated the thread is what I read from it.

I guess he hasn't had the time to update the pipeline thread yet...

I think offering a M560e xDrive (B58M2+EM, 565hp) in the US would likely pull too many sales from the 750e -- bad for business.

That has nothing to do with AWD and everything to do with the driver. RWD posts better skidpad and lateral grip due to less under steer. Unless you were slipping around in snow, the front wheels are irrelevant in any highway setting.
