My dealer called me yesterday and this morning and they are submitting reports directly to BMW per each car's VIN, so BMW can see the scope of the issues and bugs.

The more people report, the faster (I hope) BMW can or will fix this. But seeing how slow and erratic BMW does OTA, I am not expecting anything to get fixed.

Luckily once the servers came back, most of the issues that hit my 2025 iX running iDrive 8.5 resolved.

But...07/2024 OTA issues still affecting me:

-Climate SYNC will not hold
-Key Card deactivation message comes and goes
-Traffic light info gone
-BMW Direct WiFi no longer active

bmw data connection dead. can't login bmw id on vehicle, no weather, anything data is ded.

tried to remove vehicle and re-add in mybmw app, stuck in removal pending.

Remote 3D view no longer works.

I have the sync issue.

And, today, I got a key not recognized error, but it worked normally.

These are plaguing me too, and I am really MAD about the SYNC issue as BMW technical told me twice,5 months ago this was a known bug to only affect the 7 Series, and they somehow let it into new software affecting the 5 and iX Series!!

Please report your issues to BMW!

I got it to work once today. Thought it was toggling it off and on in privacy settings. But, I think the car was still awake from having walked away from it just before. It seems like post update the ping from the app for the remote cameras fails to wake the car. My other remote services are working.

I'm having issues with my ESIM now after that update I tried to remove it and re-add now it's stuck in deactivating ESIM for days

3D is more fail than work, and I cannot explain why it will randomly work though. Climate commands have gotten better, but not as good as pre 07/2024 and the server crash. Lock/unlock command seems to work the most reliably.

This is affecting iX, 5 Series, 7 Series, X5, X7, etc.., essentially all models that got 07/2024 OTA.

Remote camera only seems to work for me if the car is already awake (sitting in it or just got out). The call from the app is not waking it to respond.

I'm having the same experience. I did remove personal eSIM prior to doing the update and have since restored it successfully. Haven't evaluated the update's effects fully yet.

I can’t tell if my car really has 07/2024 or not.

The update installed, and the version in iDrive shows as 07/2024, but the MyBMW app no longer shows the software version at all.

I also don’t see any of the new modes (Silent, Vitalize) but I do have Qlocktwo, which might’ve been there before but I never checked for it.

Is it a botched upgrade?

I couldn't find "vitalize" either, but it's not in "My Modes" but is rather an individual app in iDrive (not sure why exactly).

In that case, I can confirm that it does not exist, and I must have a botched upgrade.

The sim issue is a known problem according to the BMW agent I spoke to. Mine says I completed 3/4 steps but it had been working for months. If not corrected soon I will just cancel service. Don’t use it much anyway
