Not sure except some select few folks, anyone in media is getting access just yet. This seems a bit more of a 'we were first to review'. Is BMW offering these rides to folks including the creator of BMW Blog for media attention or its the same set of folks?
And nobody seem to speak about the ICE versions, the 5er is ICE at heart with the iconic M5 and M550i, the electric is not much of an enthusiast's choice (just yet).

This is the only line that matters to me:
Quote:
1) Range could be higher. Yes it is decent, but I’d like to see BMW aim higher. 2) Add a non-M AWD model. This applies to the i4 as well. There are plenty of shoppers (particularly in the Northeast) who refuse to buy RWD cars. The car would be more accessible and more successful if there was an entry-level AWD option. |

Interesting that Car and Driver article states the new i5 M60 comes with taller sidewall tires than the G30.
"...the 245/40 front and 275/35 rear tires on 20-inch wheels...", which is +1 on the ratio, going from 35 and 30 front and back on the current gen car to 40 and 35 respectively on the new car. |
